He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. and Mary C. Hartman (Buell); and his brother Paul A. Hartman Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joanne L. Musselman; his sons, Joshua W. Feathers of New Enterprise and Jeremiah W. Feathers of Roaring Spring; his grandchildren, Eric W. S. Feathers, Brielle D. Feathers, Noah A. Feathers, Holden C. Feathers and Layla G. Feathers; and his siblings, Nancy A. Hammond, Glenn W. Hartman, Bruce A. Hartman (Becky) and Rex L. Hartman (Karen).

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home, Inc. (111 E Allegheny St, Martinsburg, PA 16662). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Contributions in memory of Rick may be given to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
