She was predeceased by: her father Robert H. Markel Jr.; her brothers, Paul and David Markel; and her brother-in-law Donald R. Schroll. She is survived by: her mother Carole Louise Markel; her siblings, Daniel R. Markel of Lancaster and Nicole Baker Markel of Roaring Spring; her nieces, Harlie Franklin and Rylie Franklin; and her nephew Colton Franklin.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Kim may be given to John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc. to help defray cost of funeral expenses.
