He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Kress and Estella Droste Kress; and his brother Richard Kress. He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Shirey Kress; his children, Jennifer Bennett (Shawn) of Mars and James C. Kress (Christie) of Lexington, N. C.; and his grandson Logan Bennett. He is also survived by niece and two nephews.
