He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell J. Yakim Sr. and Louise Yakim (Korzeniecki); his parents-in-law, Perry and Marguerite Zimmerman (Faust); and his brother Robert Yakim.
He is survived by: his friends, Ed, John, Steve and Jay; his wife Marjorie Yakim; his sons, MSgt Russell J. Yakim III, Jason M. Yakim and John W. Yakim; his siblings, Gary Yakim (Lena Honicker), Bonnie Shockey (Charles) and Debra Easton (Ed); and his siblings-in-law, Perry Zimmerman, Donald Faust (Leslie), Debbie Snyder (Dan) and Dorothy Faust. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
