She was predeceased by: her parents, George Huxta and Elizabeth Huxta Sr. (Sholtis); her husband William A. Waselewskie; her family Lorraine; her siblings, Margaret Pickover (Charles), Anne Cummings (Alfred) and George Huxta Jr. (Mildred); her siblings-in-law, Helen Parenti, Joseph and John Wasilewski (Geraldine); her nephews, George Huxta III and Mark Huxta; and her great-nephew George Huxta IV.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Mekosh (Nick); her grandchildren, Stephen Mekosh (Annie), Jason Mekosh (Elisabeth) and Michelle Laskoski (Clem) of Bethel; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Owen Mekosh, Arthur Mekosh, Gabrielle, Hannah, Madeline and Joseph Laskoski. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lucas Funeral Home Inc. (1053 Chestnut St, Kulpmont, PA 17834). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Angels (855 Scott St, Kulpmont, PA 17834). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
