He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Carmella Mercante, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mona Sowers; his sons, Robert Mercante, Jr. of Lone Pine and Rick Mercante (Amy) of Harmony, PA; his siblings, Betty Girdish and Tony Mercante of Marianna; his granddaughters, Lisa Post (Ryan) and Alina Mercante; and his great grandchild Anthony Post. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
