It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Layne Burton Conrad of Mansfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Conrad and Charlotte Mehlenbacher Conrad; his stepmother Alice Avery; his former wife Betty; his stepson Christopher Hoyt; his brother Neil; his siblings-in-law, Glenn Hughes, Russell Hughes and Anita Jackson; and his stepsister Judy Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Conrad (Jeanmarie) and Tammy Wickens (Calvin); his grandchildren, Madisson, Spencer, Owen Wickens, Joshua and Tyler Conrad; his wife Eleanor "Ellie"; his siblings, Kevin (Shirley) of Yuba City, CA, Bradley (Sharon) of Bath, NY and Regina Gilbert of New Britain, CT; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Hughes of Sayre, PA, Ivan Hughes (Wanda) of Stillwater, OK, Mark Hughes (Janice) of Wellsboro, PA, Charles Jackson of Tioga, PA, Ron Earley of Corning, NY and Linda Hughes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
