It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Barr of Mansfield, Pennsylvania, born in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Barr and Maude Barr (Mortensen); and his siblings, Phillip, Richard, Dale, Gary, Keith, Jane Wetmore and Joan Martz.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Barr (Strange) of Mansfield; his children, Craig Barr (Sharon) of Mainesburg, Paula Cummings of Mansfield, Lou Ann Hart (Paul) of Wellsboro, Jack Barr (Mary) of Liberty, Daniel Barr (Elizabeth) of Troy, Peter Barr (Gina) of Las Vegas, Jeffrey Barr (Julie) of Mansfield and Timothy Barr (Kilsun) of Lawton, OK; and his sisters, Caroline Partridge and Dolores Paddock. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in John's name to the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, 100 Smith Park Rd., Mainesburg, PA 16932.
