He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Frye Gutierrez; his stepfather Joseph Gutierrez; and his son Brett Shearer. He is survived by: his stepson Greg; his wife Linda J. Shearer (Trautman); his children, Mark Shearer, Georgia and Tammy Lenk; his stepchildren, Kimberly True and Gregory Sharrar; his sister Linda Bookwalter; and his pet Sydney. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
