He was predeceased by: his wife June E. Wampler (Laverty); his parents, Francis M. Wampler, Sr. and Grace L. Wampler (Bealer); his son Francis M. Wampler, III; and his brother Gordon Wampler.

He is survived by: his sister Loretta Schweitzer; his grandchildren, Joshua Wampler (Diana), Colleen Wampler (Ian Tarr), Christopher Wampler, Mallory Wampler, Ariel Wampler and Rhett Wampler; and his great grandchild Hunter Wampler.
