He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hoover and Edith Goodman Hoover; and his siblings, Paul Hoover, Anna Collins, Stella Stum and Marsha Brandt.

He is survived by: his wife Faye L. Schaeffer Hoover; his son William Hoover of Lakeland, Florida; and his stepchildren, Lisa (Craig Roper) of Mount Joy and Dwayne (Sheila Johnson) of Hudson, Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Bible Church (629 Union School Rd, Mount Joy, PA 17552). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
