He is survived by: his wife Miriam Martin Friesen; his son Douglas (Tina Groff) of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Matthew, Leah and Chloe; his son Bradley (Beth Emery) of Hinesburg, VT; his grandchildren, Greta and Drew; his son Philip (Brenda Zook) of Forest Grove, OR; his grandsons, Jacob and Michael; and his sister Dolores Shaw of Portland, ME..
