“Part 4: We were both sad about my move to Florida., mostly because our Wii games were over.. I've often thought about him over the past year. We've both tried to find others who would like to become new tennis partners. But I think I'm glad we never did. That would have ruined Mike's and my special relationship. Oh, I forgot to mention - Mike made his wife's wedding ring. I was never so impressed with him and wished I could have seen it. Such a romantic! I'll always miss you, Mike.”

“Part 3: Mike loved to laugh. He had jokes about all kinds of things and would show off some interesting toy or contraption he'd gotten. I liked listening to his music in the car as he'd drop me off at home after a tennis game. It was our "talk time" about everything, which we both enjoyed. He was very vocal about his political thoughts, religion and Covid, often trying to help me see them "his way". I'd listen, nod my head, and ignore all of it. (Sorry, Mike)”

“Part 2: And would tell me all about the players and the matches. Mike used to be a ham radio operator. The back of his garage was full of all kinds of ham stuff. He often told me about his nephew - eating dinner together, helping him around the house, and giving him rides to appointments and such. Mike liked his electric (golf) cart and enjoyed zooming (?) down to the recycle area to distribute his things in the proper boxes. Mike loved going to the club and was quite upset that it had to close for Covid.”

“Part 1. I'm so sorry to hear about Mike. We were Wii tennis partners at Gretna Springs for 5 years. We had so much fun seeing how high we could get our scores. We'd play until his character reached 500 points, a very challenging level to make, and then switch to my character, spending a month trying to get me up to the same level, then switch back again. He was a better player than I was, but he helped me as much as he could. Mike loved to watch the tennis matches on TV.”
