He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter K. Cassel and Nettie Forney Cassel; his son Barry Cassel; his grandson Austin Bauman; and his brother John Cassel.
He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Buckwalter Cassel; his children, Kathy (Kervin Myer) of York, Brenda (Randy Bauman) of Grantville, Karen (Karl Bear) of North Canton, OH, Michael (Kelly Cassel) of Manheim and David (Pam Cassel) of Manheim; and his sisters, Mildred Nissley of Manheim and Thelma (John Wolgemuth) of Mount Joy. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
