He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Pyle and Helen Flynn Pyle; his wife Joan H. Karpinski Pyle; and his siblings, Kenneth Pyle and Helen Pyle.
He is survived by: his children, Barry J. of Greer, SC, Robert M. of Portsmouth, VA, Beverly A. (Fred Lenhart) of Lancaster, PA, Bryan L. of Virginia Beach, VA and JoAnn H. of San Francisco, CA; and his brother Ronald W. Pyle of Suffolk, VA.. He is also survived by grandsons, one seriously cute great grandson.
