She was predeceased by: her mother Joan Coons (Emerich). She is survived by: her father William Coons Sr. (late Joan); her husband James Diehm; her daughters, Nancy Connell (Allen) and Emma Diehm; her grandson Nolan Connell; her siblings, William Coons Jr. (Michele), Rick Coons (Christine), Nancy Baker (John), Steven Coons (Jackie), Connie Coons-Vassar and Valerie Hynes (late Michael); and also, Glen Diehm Jr. (Beth), Beth Fenton (Jim), Lynn Gurliacci (John) and Mark Diehm. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and cherished friends.
In her final act of kindness, Joan chose to donate her organs to help those in need as she was a strong advocate for organ donation.
