He is survived by: his children, Carol K. Shaffer of Alexandria, VA, Linda V. Shaffer of Alexandria, VA, Wanda J. Shaffer of Alexandria, VA, James A. (Lori) of Manheim, Paul N. (Elizabeth) of Manheim and Marjorie A. Shaffer of Manheim. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
