With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold E. Chubb of Manheim, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Chubb and Miriam Chubb (Swineford); his sons-in-law, Philip R. Horst and Mark E. Miller; and his great grandchild Megan D. Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Sarah Ann (Heiss); his son James M. (Jennifer Chubb) of Harrington, DE; his granddaughters, Ruth E. (N. Ray Stoltzfus) of Manheim, Rebecca E. (Eugene Kreider) of Myerstown and Deborah A. Miller of Abbottstown; and his siblings, Donald A. Chubb of Lancaster, Pauline F. Sumner of New York, Joyce L. Kisamore of West Virginia and Lois M. Shank of Virginia. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

“So sorry to hear of Harold's passing. I remember some good times spent together with our family and Harold's, on the (Myers' ) farm for a Sunday evening supper. My mother loved it when they would visit the farm. Also at holiday dinners together at our farm or at the home of Harold and Sarah and visits to Harold's parents' home in Lancaster county. In later years, Harold and Sarah would often visit my mother in East Berlin, after she moved from the farm (after my dad died). Sweet memories.”
