He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Garber and Esther Garber (Keefer); and his siblings, Robert Garber, Mildred Johnson and Blanche Garber.
He is survived by: his children, Scot Garber (Dawn Valdaliso), Carla Ryder and Brent Garber (Lauralee Garber); and his brother Bill Garber (Patt Garber). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
