He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert H. Schaeffer and Grace M. Schaeffer (Himmelberger). He is survived by: his wife Kathryn A. Schaeffer (Trankle); his sons, Oliver M. Schaeffer (Jasmine M. Walter) and Christopher M. Schaeffer; his close friend Jessica C. Mattes; and his granddaughter Olivia G. Schaeffer. He is also survived by nephews; and his six beloved cats.
