He was predeceased by: his wife Delores I. Smyser (Moul); and his grandson Luke Runyan. He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Smyser (Lori) of York, Lynette Baker (William) of Spring Grove and Lucinda Roth (Gerald) of York. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
