He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae McElvar and Ralph W. McElvar Sr.; and his son-in-law Kevin J. Doll. He is survived by: his wife Susan S. McElvar; his daughter Lindsey S. McElvar-Nace; his son-in-law Jarred Nace; his granddaughters, Quinn and Sophie of Mt. Airy, MD; his child Kit McElvar; his pet Winnie of Jim Thorpe, PA; and his sisters, Liz Knoll of Fairmont, WV and Linda Godwin of Columbia, MD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
