He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Scherer of Elizabethtown and Laurie Scherer of Hummelstown; his siblings, Kathleen Lawrence (James) of Lancaster, Michael Scherer (Christine) of Lancaster, Margaret Ellen Aldahonda (Carlos) of Lancaster and Kevin Scherer; his sister-in-law Maggie Scherer of Frackville; his close friends, Keith and Debbie Northey of Mahanoy City; his mother-in-law Joan E. Brady of Mahanoy City; his siblings-in-law, Joan K. Brady of Pottsville and John Brady (Theresa) of Cary, N. C.; and his pet Bailey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
