He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvesta Smulligan (Houser) and George Smulligan; his wife Barbara Smulligan (Schappell); and his siblings, George Jr., Andrew, Frank Peter, Augustine, John, Helen Geist, Elizabeth Sabol, Mary Sekella, Olga Adair, Catherine Brandt and Bertha Loftus.
He is survived by: his daughter Julia Lee (Jerome Petritsch) of Elkmont, AL; his sister Theresa Urso of Lansford; his grandchildren, Jennifer and Jacob; and also Owen Paul. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church (621 W Mahanoy St, Mahanoy City, PA 17948). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
