He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kriner and Helen Kriner (Stanulis). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lyons; his daughters, Christine Hutko of Lavelle and Jennifer Rex (Patrick) of Frackville; his brothers, David (Charlotte) of Barnesville and Edward of Birdsboro; and his grandchildren, Kevin Hutko, Audrey and Eliana Rex. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:50 AM at the Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church (600 W Mahanoy St, Mahanoy City, PA 17948). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
