We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Joan Mammarella of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olga Joseph (Habeeb) and Paul Joseph; her husband Itsy; and her siblings, Thomas "Sonny" Joseph, Marie Mackarey and Bernice Johns.
She is survived by: her children, Gina (Edward "Ted" Curley) of Hometown, Angela (Sam Nassar) of Annapolis, MD and George (Lydia Gimeno) of Barnesville; her grandchildren, Ashley Connolly, Michael Connolly, Jenna Nassar, Kristin Nassar, Marlee Nassar, Alex Nassar, Taylor, Thomas Joseph Kennedy, Laura, Rocco, Sophia Mammarella, Karlee and Eddie Gimeno; and her great grandchildren, Ella, Cullen, Carson Connolly and Charlotte Kennedy.
Donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, one of Joan's favorite charities, as she and founder, Danny Thomas, shared Lebanese roots.
