It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anthony Bowers Jr. of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Bowers, (Gardner) and Anthony V. Bowers, Sr.; his brother Joseph Bowers; his former wife Betty Alsvan; and his grandson Zachary.
He is survived by: his sister Janet Reckalitis of Schuylkill Haven; his children, Betty-Jo Bowers and Anthony V. Bowers, III; and his granddaughter Grace. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
