She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Bortree and Leola Bortree; and her sister Grace Zempel. She is survived by: her husband Joseph S. Vanston; her children, Pasquale Verrastro (Colleen) of Madison Township, Michael Verrastro (Kathy) of Madison Township and Jennie Griswold (Robin) of Tobyhanna; her stepdaughter Bernadette Wagner of Scranton; her son Akowe Atty (Yannick) of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Vanessa Verrastro-Swingle (Shannon Swingle), Reed Griswold, Alyse Griswold, Tina Verrastro (Mike Sowden), Anthony Verrastro (Amanda), DJ Wagner (Sara Brezinski), Jay Atty (Sasha), Eden Atty, Kaitlyn Atty and Asiyah Atty; her great grandchild Aurora Verrastro; and her sister Elsie Jolly. She is also survived by nieces and nephew, and numerous lifelong friends.
