He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Shade Sr. and Alys M. Shade Munn (Sweigart); and his siblings, Kenneth II and Darlene Bishop. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly A. Shade of Macungie and Tara M. Sorrells of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Barbara Adkins; his grandchildren, Daniel (Alyssa), Alexander, Nicholas and Mika; and his great grandchild Benjamin.
