Joan L. Lester Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan L. Lester of Macungie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray W. Anthony, Sr. and Leah E. Anthony (Reinert); and her husband James C. Lester. She is survived by: her children, James R. Lester (Elizabeth) of Yorktowne, VA, Scott R. Lester of Macungie, PA, Tami L. McGrath (Jack) of Macungie, PA and Kelley J. Lester of Allentown, PA; her brother Gary Anthony (Hilda) of Tecate; and her sister-in-law Carol Anthony of Northampton, PA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schisler Funeral Home (2119 Washington Ave, Northampton, PA 18067). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
