With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Southwell of Luzerne, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pope and Hazel Reilly Pope; her husband John A. Southwell; her daughter Linda Azain; and her granddaughter Robin Malia.
She is survived by: her grandson Robert Malia; her great grandchildren, Robert, Dylan, Josiah, Elijah, Asher and Da'Mya; and her siblings, Isabelle Hoskins, Michael Pope and Joseph Pope.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home (568 Bennett St, Luzerne, PA 18709). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
