He was predeceased by: his parent Jay Hoover; and his son Brian D. Hoover. He is survived by: his parent Martha Hoover (Johnson); his spouse Ruby M. Morgan; his granddaughter Brittany Lynn; his great grandchild Isabella Rae; his sister Patty O'Harrow; and his sister-in-law Susan Carlson. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.

Although flowers are appreciated, memorial donations may be sent to St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 4229 Golden Yoke Road, Luthersburg, PA 15848.
