She was predeceased by: her parent John T.. She is survived by: her parent Gladys V. Smouse (McKenrick); her spouse Howard E. Schaffer; her sons, Howard "Mark" Schaffer (Deborah) of Luthersburg, John "Mike" Schaffer (Kathleen) of Luthersburg and Kevin "Matt" Schaffer (Tracey) of Luthersburg; and her sister Francis Haupt. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
