He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Samuel Hammond and Virginia M. Boggs Hammond Barrick; and his stepfather James Barrick. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kaye Alleman Hammond; his daughter Sherri Lynn Hammond-Esh (David) of Lurgan; his siblings, Robert "Tinker" Hammond and Kimberly Neil (Amos); and his nephew Todd Neil.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. (112 W King St, Shippensburg, PA 17257). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lurgan United Brethren Church (7900 Roxbury Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lurgan Cemetery (7607 Roxbury Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lurgan United Brethren Church, 7607 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257 or to the Cumberland Valley Amimal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
