He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry B. Shaffer and Margaret Shaffer (Kirchner); his brother Barry Wayne Shaffer; and his mother-in-law Florence Hess. He is survived by: his wife Lucinda (Hess); and his daughters, Melissa Rok (Michael) and Christine.
