He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Novak (Elczyna) and Onufry Novak; his son Matthew Novak; his siblings, Lottie Pernosky, Elizabeth Novak, Alex Novak, Pete Novak, Walter Novak, Anthony Novak, Charles Novak and Stanley Novak; and his pet Snowball.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean (Kanaba); his children, Mark Novak (Jan), Luke Novak (Rhonda) and Joni Wolford; his grandchildren, Nick Novak (Jess), Louis Wolford (Tina) and Molly Novak; and his great grandchildren, Chase and Mason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, a private funeral and committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
