He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Dawson and Mary Dawson (Baumeister); his daughter Dorothy Jennifer Dawson; and his brothers, James Dawson and Albert Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine N. Dawson (Hertzler); his children, Edward Dawson, Kathy Julius, Kenneth R. Dawson Jr., Jason Dawson, Adam Figard and Peter Figard; his stepchildren, Jessica Hertzler, Zachary Hertzler, Cody Hertzler and Elliot Hertzler; and his siblings, Philip Dawson, Mary Benjamin and Anna Elia. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
