He is survived by: his children, Kathy Lowe (Jere) of Shermans Dale and Kevin McDonel (Diane) of Elliottsburg; his grandchildren, Tyler McDonel (Tiffany) of Elliottsburg, Joshua Lowe of Shermans Dale, Michael McDonel of Elliottsburg, Sara McDonel of Staunton, VA, Melissa Lowe (Kyle) of Shermans Dale and Kelsey McDonel of Carlisle; his great grandchildren, Ridge, Everett, Adalee and Isabella; his sisters, Pat Henry of Camp Hill, Mary Strawser of Denver, PA, Vera Winter of Ickesburg and Alice Hoffman of Berkley, WV; and his close friend Peggy Himmelreich.
