He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Steinbacher and Marion Steinbacher (Eiswerth); his siblings, Karlloyd, Ronald, Pauline Stopper and Lorraine Frye; and his son Mark Steinbacher.

He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Emick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
