He was predeceased by: his former wife Gertrude Van Houtte; and his brother-in-law Marshall Davis. He is survived by: his wife Lyne Heffner Roche; his children, David Van Houtte of Bedminster, NJ and Kathie Eagle; his stepchildren, Sara Birmingham of Southampton, NY, David Roche Jr., Kathryn Ecker and Rev. Alex Roche of Laflin, PA; his grandchildren, Elyssa Van Houtte, Drew Van Houtte, Connor Eagle, Ryan Eagle, Emma Roche, Colin Roche, Alice Ecker and Lucy Ecker; his sisters, Irene Pytcher of Ithaca, NY and Jean Davis of Plymouth, MA; and his brother-in-law David Pytcher. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
