He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Karaffa and Marie Karaffa (Haines); his wife Margaret Chilelli; his daughter Kathleen D'Orazio; his daughter-in-law Debbye Karaffa; and his sisters, Mary Rindosh and Marjorie Rodenbaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Claxton (Verlyn) of Mooresville, NC, Donald M. Karaffa (Kim) of Cogan Station, Mary McNutt (Joe) of Loyalsock Twp and David G. Karaffa of Santa Ana; his son-in-law Paul D'Orazio (Loyalsock Twp); his grandchildren, Greg Claxton (Theresa) of Nashville, TN, Jay Claxton (Amy) of Cornelius, NC, Eric LaBelle (Holly), Patricia Blair (Thomas) of Honolulu, HI, Thomas Karaffa of Seaside, CA, Travis Karaffa of Santa Ana, CA, Devon D'Orazio, Loyalsock Twp, Samantha, Isaac Karaffa, Luke McNutt (Adelyn) and Linden; and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Will Claxton, Sarah, Adam Claxton, Theresa, Zelie Blair, Bryce, Sylas, Myla Carey, Zuri, Jack, Reed Karaffa, Blake Savits and Ronan McNutt.
