He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Appleby Jr. and Jessie L. Appleby (Phelps). He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Appleby (Browning); his children, John W. Appleby IV (Kara) of Virginia Beach, VA and Jill A. Bechtold (Steve) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Benjamin, William John and Emma; and his sister Nancy Williams (Bo) of Winter Haven, FL.

In keeping with the current health guidelines, attendees are encouraged to exercise proper precautions including the wearing of face coverings and appropriate social distancing.
