He was predeceased by: his parent John R. DeRemer, Sr.; his son John William DeRemer; his grandson Luke Szekeres; and his sister Lois Cressman. He is survived by: his parent Gail A. DeRemer (Gibbs); his wife Patricia J. DeRemer (Wilson); his children, Kimberly DeRemer Szekeres, Michael DeRemer (Lindsay) and Erin Giambrone (Nino); and his grandchildren, Madeline Szekeres, Jack DeRemer, Wesley DeRemer, Nino Giambrone, III, Pierson DeRemer, Kai DeRemer and Lydia Giambrone.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at United Church of God, 1211 Fairmont Drive, Harrisburg, preceded by a visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children's Hospital, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033 or Castaway Critters, PO Box 1421, Harrisburg, PA 17105.
