The memory of Daniel J. Whitmire of Lower Paxton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Whitmire and Mary Whitmire (Steinbach); and his son Kevin Whitmire. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Maxwell (Terry) of Lewisberry and Deanna Chubb (Jack) of Camp Hill; his grandchildren, Sean Maxwell (Marisol), Kyle Maxwell (Janelle), Lance Whitmire (Cheyenne), Whitney Jones (Lance) and Korey Leese (Heather); and his great grandchildren, Henry, Aurora, Ryan, Reagan, Eli, Teagan and Maddie.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Behind the Administration Building. The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Unit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042 (checks should be made payable to Hospice Fund #8183).
