She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Gregg and Margaret Gregg (Shadle); her former husbands, Calvin Birch, Sr. and James Scott I; her son James Scott, II (Donna); and her siblings, Edgar Gregg and Anna Mae Kiebler Birch.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret "Peg" Birch Scisciani (late Arthur) of Middlesex Twp and Calvin Birch, Jr. (Susan) of Boise; her grandchildren, Luke Birch, Valerie Scott of Texas, Alexandra Fisher (Ernest) of Oakmont and Caralyn Scott; her great grandchild Amelia Rose Fisher; her fiancé Lou Smith; her aunt Dorothy Moore of Lower Burrell; and her uncle Paul Shadle, Sr. (Dorothy) of New Kensington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to any animal rescue shelter of their choice.
