She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brooks and Bessie Kendall Brooks; her children, Melissa Arnae Hughes and Henry S. Hughes Jr.; her great grandchild Anthony Joseph McHenry; her husband Eddie Fletcher; her siblings, Elizabeth Allen, Betty Duffey, Gloria Johnson, Henry, William Jr., Robert Sr. and Paul Brooks; and her stepchildren, Deborah and Shaddad Fletcher.
She is survived by: her former husband Henry S. Hughes of Shepherdstown, W. V; her daughter Shermane Griffin (Anthony) of West Seneca, N. Y.; her grandchildren, Ma'Lisa Stevens (Dion), Patricia McHenry (Charles), Toni Griffin and Karyonda Vance (Ted); her great grandchildren, Isaiah T. Griffin (Destinee), Dessarai Griffin, Ebonie Thompson, Alaena Griffin, Charles "CJ" McHenry Jr. and Dion "DJ" Stevens Jr.; her great great grandchildren, Isaiah "TJ" Griffin Jr. and Isabella "Bella" Griffin; her stepchildren, Eddie Dennis, Elaine, Marshall, Bruce Fletcher and Verleen Green (Bill); and her sister-in-law Mattie Brooks of New Kensington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to covid-19 restrictions, a private service was held at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
