He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Shaner Sr. and Martha Shaner (Cline); and his sisters, Suzanne Spaniel and Carol Walker. He is survived by: his wife Linda Shaner (Negley) of Lower Burrell; his sons, John H. Shaner III (Torie) of Leechburg, Michael Shaner of Lower Burrell, Richard Shaner (Wendy) of Leechburg and Scott Shaner of Lower Burrell; his grandchildren, Nathan, Keenan and Evelyn Shaner; his sister Emma Montgomery of Sharon; and his sister-in-law Patricia Negley of Lower Burrell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
