He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Mengel and Thelma Mengel (Eisenhuth); his child Michele Mengel; and his sister Flossie Howells. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Mengel (Oken); his children, Melanie Mengel (Michael Loughner) of Allegheny Township, Charles Mengel of Land and Jamie Mengel of Tarentum; his grandsons, Tyler and Colton; and his siblings, Harry Welsh (Lois) of North Carolina, Polly Reuss (Otto) of Long Island, N. Y., Bessie Stauffer, Robert Welsh and Shirley Ozolnieks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
