It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wava D. Karichner of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Butler and Verna Dullen Butler; and her brothers, Arnie, Clarence and Dennis Butler.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph Karichner of Lock Haven; her children, Karen Karichner Walker of Lamar, Larry Karichner of Avis and Kelley Karichner Roller (George) of Lock Haven; her sisters, Renee Brown of Bellefonte and Lynn Bitner (Wayne) of Mill Hall; her grandsons, Alexander and Collin Roller; and her great grandchild Lincoln Roller. She is also survived by friends including her best friend.

Memorial contributions in Wava's name may be made to the Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.

“Wava was a beautiful woman inside and out. Was my neighbor for a number of years. I remember one time when she was sewing something on the sewing machine and ran the needle right threw her finger. My dad came to the rescue. I moved away when I was 18 and anytime, (and now it's 50 years later). I was in town for a visit she made sure to cook and have me over. My heart goes out to the whole family. She is now your guardian angel. Fly high lady. Mickey & Denny Winter”
