He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel W. Bechdel and Lois Schenck Bechdel; and his brothers, Tom and Larry "Buck" Bechdel. He is survived by: his wife Dottie L. Maggs Bauman; his son Chad Bechdel (Susan Aikey) of Bellefonte; his siblings, Jerry Bechdel (Gail) of Howard and Bonnie McCartney (Ed) of Howard; his grandchildren, Seth and Haley Bechdel; and his great grandchild Kobe Bechdel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
